I was born in Bordeaux (France) on April 21, 1959. Nothing on my background predisposed me to work with metal. At the bottom of the class in the air force technical school, I wasn' in a position to choose my specialty, and I accepted what remained. Exploring industrial techniques which seemed very tedious to me, and which left me very few opportunities to create, I had leisure to leran brassmaking and then to teach it.

I left the army in 1998. Then working for my own business, I was glad to have learned the basic techniques. Separating brass making from its primal objective (the making of crokery), I created sculptures inspired by nature, which I am really fond of.
